I serve as the lead pastor of Southview Community Church in Herndon, Virginia, located just outside of Washington, D.C.  I hold a Ph.D. in Old Testament, with an emphasis in archaeology. And I’m the author of Lead. Leadership Lessons from the (Not So) Minor Prophets (Eriall Press, 2014).

My Biography

I’m a follower of Jesus, and you’ll find that perspective throughout my writing.  I have been married to my wonderful wife Charlotte for over twenty years now, and we have two daughters who bring much joy to my life.

I have been in vocational ministry in the local church for over twenty years.  I am a graduate of Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and I studied with Dr. Steven Collins at Trinity Southwest University.
