Welcome to the Catalytic Leadership Weekly, where each Monday you’ll get an update on the newest episode of the Catalytic Leadership Podcast, see the 3 books I’m currently reading, read 2 quotes that grabbed my attention this week, and find 1 story that made me think or resource that I like and think you might find helpful.
I’m always looking for ways to “make it better,” and I’d love to hear your feedback. Thank you for being a part of Catalytic Leadership!
This week’s episode of the Catalytic Leadership Podcast:
How An 18 Year Old Entrepreneur Found Freedom (And You Can Too), with Travis Blackburn
How does self-doubt sabotage you?
What was it like being addicted to drugs and alcohol from the age of 12?
What was the catalytic moment when you decided things had to change?
This week on the podcast, William interviews Travis Blackburn, a Mindset/Training/Nutrition Coach who was addicted to hard drugs and alcohol starting when he was 12 years old, and who suffered from severe anxiety and depression throughout that time.
Everything changed when he discovered he was meant for greater things, and he left his fraternity to get sober and start a new life.
Only SIX months after getting sober and leaving his old lifestyle, he started his own copywriting agency which he scaled to netting roughly $7,000/month in income; he lost nearly 30 lbs of fat and built a massive amount of muscle with a six-pack to top it off; he eliminated self-doubt, depression, and anxiety; he wakes up EVERY morning, 7 days a week, at 3:30 AM to go to the gym.
His PRIMARY focus now is my online mindset/training/nutrition program where he instills the discipline that he’s learned over the years into other people.

1 Resource That You Might Find Helpful
Ever struggle with difficult conversations? It might be with a co-worker, a team member, a client, a spouse – we all deal with crucial conversations, and learning to have them in a healthy way is a skill that can bear fruit for decades.
Watch Joseph Grenny discuss helpful strategies for this: Mastering the Art of Crucial Conversations
(And you can check out his book on this topic here – I regularly recommend this one.)
