Welcome to the Catalytic Leadership Weekly, where each Monday you’ll get an update on the newest episode of the Catalytic Leadership Podcast, see the 3 books I’m currently reading, read 2 quotes that grabbed my attention this week, and find 1 story that made me think or resource that I like and think you might find helpful.

I’m always looking for ways to “make it better,” and I’d love to hear your feedback. Thank you for being a part of Catalytic Leadership!

This week’s episode of the Catalytic Leadership Podcast:

Why Enlightened Leadership Is Critical For The New World of Work, with Brian Gorman

What is enlightened leadership?

How do you build trust in the workplace, and why is it important to do so?

Why is it important for leaders to listen to head, heart, and gut?

This week on the podcast, William interview Brian Gorman. Through decades of experience in guiding organizations through change, Brian has learned that it isn’t organizations that change. It’s people. His understanding of the change journey and how to move through it has successfully served global corporations as well as solopreneurs and everything in between. One of the co-owners of the 4-Day Work Week trademark, Brian has a deep understanding of today’s disrupted business environment and what is required to successfully lead into the future.

2 Quotes That Grabbed My Attention

“Goals don’t determine success. Systems determine success.
You don’t rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.
Systems create behaviors. Behaviors become habits.  Habits drive outcomes.
In any part of your life, if you want a better outcome create a better system.
Small changes in your systems create massive changes in your outcomes.
You either have systems by intent or by default.
Your system is the result of what you created or tolerating.
Healthy systems never happen by accident.” —Craig Groeschel

“The better you prepare, the better you present.”  —Jeff Henderson

1 Resource You Might Find Helpful

Since I first heard him speak almost a decade ago now, I’ve followed Les McKeown and his Predictable Success work. His weekly articles are a must read for me (and his books are excellent reads). I found this article helpful and thought you might as well: “The 3 Sub-Conscious Tells of Great Leaders” – He writes, “[These are] Characteristics that, frankly, no-one is going to make a TV series about, but which truly do lie at the core of lasting leadership greatness.”

If you like it, subscribe to his free weekly emails – I find so many nuggets of wisdom and insight in these.
